  Went to Haro's with my wife for a dinner date. The food, service, and drinks were all good quality. The patio is in the shade from the afternoon on, which was a downside, but they had ample heaters to compensate. The appetizer portions were slightly small, and the cocktails were a bit pricey; however, they had reasonably priced highball specials from 4-6 pm for happy hour. My main was a mussel dish which I was fearing might be lacking due to the appetizer, but this was not the case at all. I was delivered a mountain of mussels and I would highly recommend the white wine sauce option. Overall, a good experience in a wonderful setting, would go again.

  One of my favourites. Great Beer and Wine list. The steak I had tonight was superb. I wish I could make a demi glace like that.

  The service was amazing! The portions are big. The food isn't too bad, a bit on the dry and salty but it suits the crowd in the area. We had the Prime rib special which is held on Sunday nights. We quite enjoyed it. We got the last few slices of it so it was closer to medium but we wanted medium rare. The texture was still good.

  We did not have a good experience at this restaurant. We were looking for a place to have dinner in Sidney before catching a ferry back to Vancouver. When we arrived, the first question was about whether we had a reservation or not. That's fair, but the tone of the hostess made us feel unwelcome. We were offered the lounge, which was fine. However, it took a long time for a waitress to come over and get us started. When we did finally get asked about orders, we chose a chicken club and a burger -- not complicated to make. It took a good 30 minutes for such basic dishes to arrive. People around us who were seated after we arrived got their meals before we did. Why?! We noticed! After such a long wait, there was no acknowledgment of the wait or any apology. This restaurant was oblivious to our needs, and we cannot recommend it.
